TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please know that the following terms and conditions are what you are agreeing to when you purchase from Pale & Peach.

I want to be as graceful about these things as I can, while also maintaining a level of understanding, human error and compassion. I encourage you to read through these to not only fully acknowledge what it means to purchase tubers and cuttings, but also to show you what it means to us when you purchase our tubers or cuttings.

TUBER/CUTTING LISTINGS

All of our tuber listings are for ONE dahlia tuber or cutting. All prices listed are for ONE dahlia tuber or cutting.

Unless otherwise noted in product details- you are purchasing a single tuber or cutting of that variety.

We will not sell you broken, busted up import clumps.

NEED TO CHANGE YOUR ORDER?

We cannot cancel orders once they have been placed.

We cannot make changes to your order once it has been placed.

There is a lot more to it than just jotting down a little note for the order.

I am one person, and cannot accommodate to this with hundreds of orders.

SHIPPING

Shipping information can only be provided to you if you provide an accurate email.

Please do not email me asking when your order will be shipped. If you provided an email with us, you will get a notification when your order has shipped. It is not possible to answer these emails with the amount of work that goes into packaging your orders.

ALL orders are tracked. We can monitor this through our website and verify when your orders have been delivered. Once that package hits your doorstep, we are not responsible for neighborhood thieves.

We are not responsible for the climate in your area. Be smart, don't leave your package outside for 3 days in 90 degree heat. Just the same, do not leave tubers on your doorstep in the middle of winter.

At this time I do NOT combine orders.

ONCE YOU RECEIVE YOUR TUBERS

Please inspect them immediately and let me know within 48 hours if there are an issues.

If you message me 2 weeks after arrival to tell me your tubers are resembling beef jerky or rotting- there is nothing I can do to help you, as we do not ship jerky tubers or moldy rotting tubers.

If your tuber has some wrinkles on it, that's fine.

If your tuber is soft (not mushy), that's fine.

If your tuber has a skinny neck, that's fine.

If your tuber is bulbous, that's fine.

If they are cut or scratched, that is fine.

If your tuber is skinny, that's fine.

If you have one tuber the size of a AA battery, and another is the size of Wisconsin, that's fine.

The tuber has to be completely severed (holding on by the skin), or the tissue damaged beyond growth, for the neck to be broken.

I encourage folks to view my 'What to Expect' page.

We are not responsible for tubers that are started early for cuttings and run into rot, drying out, mold, disease, bacteria, viruses etc.

They aren't being entered into a pageant, they are going in the ground to look even more freakishly weird once you dig them up next fall.

IF YOU RUN INTO ANY ISSUES

You MUST reach out to me within 48 hours of delivery.

If your tuber is squishy or rotten, you will be asked to send us a video and a clear picture of the tuber and our writing on the side. We will get back to you within 48 hours.

If you are receiving fall tubers, please note- eyes are far less visible. Some varieties take an eternity to wake up and sprout. If you think it needs more moisture and you're constantly misting it every day, we did not send you a rotten tuber, you have created a rotten tuber. Please do not email me or blast me on social media 9 days after you receive your order to tell me your tubers are blind the first week in December. They require warmth and time to wake up. Optimal times for waking tubers up can be searched in various groups or simply just googling your growing zone.

I'm just one human. Mistakes will be made, and the occasional truly blind as a bat tuber will fall through the cracks. In this case, reach out to us via email and politely let us know. Again, we will ask for a clear video and photo of the tuber.

I will gladly work with anyone who is kind and we will find a solution that meets both of our needs. If you email me and start harassing me, calling me names, or simply being rude with me because of your order, it will not be tolerated.

Acknowledging these terms and conditions mean you are acknowledging giving us the opportunity to fix a mistake we have made.

You must give us the opportunity to replace an item before a refund is given.

If you truly believe you have a blind tuber, we will ask that you send us a video and photos to verify this by August 1st.

ALL blind tubers will be required to be mailed back at buyers' expense.

Any valid blind tubers will receive a credit for the following sale/season in the amount of the original tuber.

IF A PRODUCT BECOMES UNAVAILABLE

In the event of an unforeseen incident, you will be refunded. Things do happen.

Not what you ordered?

Just reach out. We want to make it right.

I am one person managing a full time corporate job, 3 kids, a business, and a naked dog that's allergic to everything that exists.

See? I'm not kidding. Krumm himself is a full time job.

Anyways. Give us the opportunity to make things right. Most of the time this comes in the form of accepting a cutting or a replacement the following season.

Don't start running to social media to post a negative review- I see all of them. We all do. It's not a contest. Nobody is here to impress anyone else, we just want to follow our own moral compasses .. which means we believe in the opportunity at fixing our mistakes.

We guarantee tubers will ship healthy with no signs of disease or bacterial infections upon packaging. We guarantee tubers will be true to their name.

HOW DO WE APPROACH VIRUSES?
As of now, we cannot offer a virus free guarantee. We practice strict sanitization between plants and cull any plant that is not meeting my expectations. In the future, we plan to submit for testing; However our tiny operation cannot support those high costs at this time.
The science and statistics speak for themselves- even with testing- we need to remember that virus is all around us. Your entire field could test clean on a Monday, and pee dirty on a Tuesday because a pack of microscopic insects got a little hangry.
We give our plants a little extra lovin' to see them thrive. If they aren't thriving- we aren't keepin'. This is a risk all of us take while buying/trading/selling tubers.
I do my absolute best to inspect each and every plant to the best of my abilities- I am not a scientist nor a virologist. I'm just Sami, trying her hardest to provide you guys with healthy plants that you can cut, share, propagate, and enjoy!
Same goes for leafy or crown gall. It can easily be transferred between plants. Dahlias are not the only plants that can harbor this bacterial infection, meaning the ability to come from outside sources other than dahlias is there.

If you choose to ignore everything I just said and still take your grievance to social media, we do and will reserve the right to ban you from our site as well as add you to a national "Do not sell list" for other sellers to view.

If you feel like your only job is to make me look bad, I can't help you bud.

PLEASE DO NOT STEAL MY PHOTOS

You do NOT have my permission to use my photos on your website.

Please don't try to tell me they aren't my photos when my heavily tattooed hands are holding the damn flowers in the photo you're posting.

Wrapping things up:

I know this is a lot. If you have pushed through all of this and acknowledge this, it means the world to us. We don't want to have to sit here and be this firm and blunt with people, so boundaries have to be established. There are too many small farms and businesses crumbling off the arrogance of angry hearted folks who just want to watch the world burn. We don't have a bunch of tractors and 7 acres. We don't have employees. We aren't working with heavy machinery to dig our holes for us. We're an incredibly proud family of 5 with the ambition to deliver you some beautiful flowers for your garden. I created this business and space to share my love of dahlias and gardening with my customers, my friends and my family.

We appreciate that you have trusted us with your business.

Supporting our small business means supporting our family.
