Hybridized by Blooming Hearts " This dahlia was named after one of the Cardiothoracic Surgeons I work with who inspired me to pursue my dream of becoming a dahlia farmer/hybridizer. Sometimes during heart surgery, the heart needs a stimulus to start beating again. Instead of using a traditional temporary pacing wire, he will sometimes use a finger to tap on the heart and since he's Italian, he calls it "The Italian Pacemaker."
